Schedule and Tournament Venue
The tournament will be played from Octuber 22th to 24th in Palma at Espai SUScultura (Miquel Capllonch 33).
Round 1: Friday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m.
Round 2: Saturday, October 23 at 9:30 a.m.
Round 3: Saturday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m.
Round 4: Sunday, October 24 at 9:00 a.m.
Round 5: Sunday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m.
System and Time Control
Swiss tournament, 5 rounds. 90 minutes for the whole game + 30 seconds per move, from the first move. Valid for ELO FIDE.
If all players have less than 2200 ELO the pace will be 60 minutes for the entire game + 30 seconds increase per move.
Awards and trophies
1st, 2nd and 3rd place: Trophy
1st, 2nd and 3rd place under-16: Trophy
The legal tax will be applied.
Awards not cumulative.
Tiebreaks
The following tiebreaks will be applied in this order:
Direct result.
Bucholz minus the worst result.
Total Bucholz.
Sonnen-Berger.
Progressive.
Number of wins.
Draw.
The corresponding FIDE corrections will be applied.
Byes
A maximum of two half-point byes may be requested. The deadline to request a bye is before the start of the previous round. Byes in the last two rounds must be requested only 30 minutes after the start of the first round.
Time Tolerance
Players will have 30 minutes to appear in front of the board or notify the arbiter of their arrival. After that time the game will be default and lost.
Participants
Players must have an active federative license.

Places limited to 24 players per order of registration. Registrations can be made until october 18th, after this deadline the registration is not guaranteed.

COVID-19 measures
The COVID-19 health measures in force in the city of Palma on the dates of the tournament will be applied. Also the health measures established by the Balearic Chess Federation.

Participants in the tournament authorize the publication of their personal data and image in the different media that the organization considers appropriate for the necessary publicity of the event (lists of results, classifications, participants, games, photos, etc.).
